Ok…
Cue the song “She’s Gone country”, because that’s what is happening over here. I haven’t had a country phase since Strawberry Wine and Shameless topped the charts, but through work, my husband got tickets to the Wildlands Festival in Big Sky last weekend so we made a quick trip to Montana! I’d never been before and the TL,DR is I loved it. We stayed at the Wilson Hotel which wasn’t fancy, but nice, new and ideally situated. We checked out Yellowstone, saw Old Faithful and the Grand Prismatic and hiked by day …and by night we saw Riley Green, Carrie Underwood, Leann Rimes and Kaitlin Butts. They were all so good! We especially loved Kaitlin Butts, she was so funny and entertaining and… Riley Green (insert fire emoji).
We had a small window to check out shops and I’d recommend Cowboy Coffee, Bluebird boutique, Montana Supply and the LMNT tasting room (so chic and I got addicted to their pink lemonade drink).
The women-run company, Crossbow had a booth at the festival and I was obsessed with their hats, jewelry and fringe suede vests.
I definitely overpacked because I couldn’t figure out what I wanted to wear to the shows. It helped that a year ago I bought a pair of Tecovas. They are so comfortable and classic and although I don’t wear them that often, when I do want them, I’m so glad they’re there! Plus, I’ll have them forever. (Not sponsored, but I’d take a pair in brown! wink wink.)
I also had to buy a couple of hats while I was there, as one does! And you know how sometimes you stress about what to wear to an event and in the end, it didn’t really matter, people are in just jeans and sneakers and whatever? This was NOT the case. The outfits at this festival were top notch.

Naturally my algorithm is feeding me all things western and I’m eating it up… give me all of the bolo ties, feathers and fringe. This round-up has everything from Khaite to HM to Boot Barn, which is my favorite way to shop.

Ok, off to find more country concerts to go to! Have a great week!
Krissy
