Believe me when I say I have several newsletters started that are a bit outdated now (sorry Mother’s Day!), but…here we are. We just started our 2nd week of summer break and we’re kicking it off with some playdates and few days of camp… followed by a trip to Santa Barbara to see some of my besties, sans kids. I cannot wait! Send any SB recs my way!

I’ve never really given purple, lavender, violet, etc. much thought, except for trying to convince my daughter to wear colors other than pink and purple, but for some reason, it’s really catching my eye lately. I was looking for the Old Navy jelly flip flops below in brown to share with you because I’ve been getting so many compliments on them and all I could find was purple. This, of course, sent me down an ADHD hyper-fixation rabbit hole and … voila! I may have ordered the Perfect White Tee Terry set for myself.

I especially love lavender with red and with brown ( honestly, what don’t I love with red and brown?!).

But, doesn’t this image just sort of calm your nervous system?

Gift ideas for dads and other dudes!

1. My husband said he needed some new shorts and swim shorts* the other day and I was like, “ahem, allow me.” 3-5 business days later, we had several packages on the porch. The winners for him were these, these, these and these in black floral. He was not a fan of these.

2. Lately he’s also been into these t-shirts. And I think he needs one of these.

3. Concert tickets, spa day (because dads deserve massages too), gc to a cool restaurant they’ve never been to.

4. This weekender is cute. Rumor has it that Rainbow sandals are back in style. I love a rubber birk. I think these could be cool. A few years back we got knock off theraguns and they promptly broke, so it may be time to gift the real deal.

5. I need some more ideas! A google search is a lot of beer/golf/lawn mower paraphenalia and while my husband and dad like some of those things, they don’t need a pillow with golf clubs on it or custom beer cozies.

I’ll leave you with two outfits I wore recently.

If you follow me on Instagram, you saw that I went to the Newport Beach TV Festival and saw a panel with the cast of Shrinking! Cool is an understatement. I wore this cream suit and while heels or loafers would be an obvious pick, I liked dressing it down with the aforementioned brown jelly flip flops. blazer, shorts, flip flops (similar)

I’m super into this windbreaker and these heels from Amazon! I don’t buy shoes on Amazon, but I also don’t really wear heels any more and these are surprisingly comfortable.
